For those who don't know, Ranking Arizona is a list of Arizona's top businesses. Every year, AZ Big Media conducts an opinion poll in which the public votes for the best businesses in various categories.

We are pleased to announce that The Chatfield Group rose to number three in the Software Companies category; improving from 6th the previous year. Why tout our number three ranking, you may ask? Well, for starters, when you are a small, local business and you rank number three behind the likes of GoDaddy in Ranking Arizona's poll, it is cause for celebration. Similarly, when you best the likes of such giants as Oracle and Sage, you can't help but feel like it is a feather in your cap. Third, the rankings are based on the opinions of the public. One can't help but feel proud that one's hard work, integrity and value in the community is noticed by the people with whom you interact every day. Lastly, such notoriety validates the hard work (and providence) that has brought us to where we are today.

I'm reflective of a quote from Demosthenes that I came across recently, "Small opportunities are often the beginning of great enterprises." The fact is that small opportunities have allowed us to become what we are today. We have made the most of those opportunities, treated our clients the way we would like to be treated and built a growing business. Are we a great enterprise? It depends on what you mean by "great". I believe we provide great software to great clients with great quality and great passion for living up to our commitments. No, we are not very large (only about 45+ employees), but apparently size has less to do with rankings than one might think...
